During the early days of my Biliary cancer journey I had an idea to create a couple of characters that represented my cancer but not really sure for what reason or why, was just a thought.

I came up with Billy and Hilary and at that time it = Biliary Cancer. My lovely wife Debra shared the idea with our children and all of a sudden they came to life.

Quite some time went by after the battle with intensive chemo treatment and trying to stay stable. One day I had the head space to think some more and found out that our artist had actually drawn 5 characters not just 2. As an active patient of Pancare this made me think maybe we could have a character for each of the upper GI cancers - Pancreatic, Liver, Stomach, Biliary and Oesophageal.

So the new cancer characters were born - Billy (Biliary), Pamela, previously known as Hilary, (Pancreatic), Liv (Liver), Ollie (Oesophageal) and Simon (Stomach).

These characters are now an integral part of our story helping us raising awareness and revenue through our initial product line of t-shirts, stubby holders and children’s book(s).
